Upcoming Release - Take no quarter & On Frigid Flame

Coming to GAMEFOUND in June 2024, we have two new Expansions releasing for Aerodome: Rising Horizons. We are calling this wave “Volume 2” of Season 1.

New Mechanics

A lot has been learned since we released Aerodome: Rising Horizons. Now, with more time, we are aiming to improve on the foundations set not only by cleaning up the rules with a new rulebook, but creating more ways to fly.

Psych is one of my favorite keywords and mechanics in Aerodome. We are now tooling Psych to work with more than just the initiative with cards that require the daredevil to predict the opponents initiative out loud. Other cards use the keyword such as Psych (Straight) and triggers if the player plays a Straight maneuver Battle card.

Dazed and Recover is a core mechanic being expanded upon as well with two new action modifiers. The dazed and recover modifier allows a player to make the choice of performing the action and in turn may either assign a dazed token or perform a recover for completing the maneuver.

New fighters

The core set for Aerodome: Rising Horizons represent pilots from several different squadrons, however these pilots mostly represent the protagonists for each of their settings.

Take No Quarter will feature pilots of Ace and Martaga:

Theodosia’s main nemesis of the skies is the formidable top-scoring Resurgence pilot, Konrad Faust.

Jax is now working with Lance to defeat the corporate conglomerate known as the “Tabs” in the second Martaga World Championship and their top player Rayne Sabi.

On Frigid Flames will feature pilots from Futuria and Star Lancers.

Alice is seeking revenge for her sister against the pilot that shot down her sister, Quinn Tanaka.

Before Ash lost most of his body, he was last seen fighting the Borealis squadron. These pilots are known for fighting in subzero temperatures and are lead by the feared ice pirate, Val Vayne.

In each release for Aerodome we hope to drive the narrative a little further. Fighter cards will now include the pilot’s squadron as a way to identify further where and who they represent.

New Battle Cards

Ofcourse each expansion will provide players with more Battle cards! And these expansions will hone in on each faction's identity more.

Ace cards utilize the Straightshot as a way to gain benefits for their attacks.

Martaga pilots will have more ways to gain and spend their Charge tokens.

Futuria fighters are deadly, but at their own costs for risk.

Star Lancers are all about setting up their Constellations to gain benefits but limit their options.

Other bits of changes

Gamefound will be the new home for our crowdsourcing as a more convenient way for all parties involved. We want to provide a smooth experience and felt this is the best way for backers to include add-ons, use payment plans, one stop shipping and communication.

We also are using a fulfillment service with this and future releases. This will create a faster turnaround time for delivery resulting on a more timely delivery.

We will have more stretch goals! We have a lot of new stretch goals to unlock Foil fighter cards, acrylics and a few surprises!

We are trying out some new tiers! Have a squadron you want to pledge with? What about becoming a pilot?
