Flight report - Adepticon 2024
Flight Report 001 - Adepticon 2024 - Mission Status: Complete
This is Wade Piche. I am the designer and artist for Aerodome: Rising Horizons. I would like to share some awesome things about the events last week.
With the battles finishing up and champions crowned, we have returned from Adepticon 2024 in Schaumburg, Illinois. This event marked a special time for us as the first time we had Aerodome available for purchase and first time players were able to use their own copies for events.
While we were at our booth, we demoed the game for countless fans, both new and old. Fans from multiple corners of Europe, South America and the United States got their first chance to learn the devastation of Alice and elusiveness of Theodosia. Players pointed out how intuitive and easy the game was to learn and how deep the game can get. Others commented from “Thank you for putting pronouns on the pilots” to “You should have Italian Pilots” helped me feel I was on the right track for making Aerodome feel like it can belong to everyone in the community (we will continue to add diversity in our pilots).
Events at Adepticon were also met with high with over 50 players competing over two days. Players got their first official Aerodome Organized Play Tournamet sponsored by the Chicago Apex (a fictional sports team for Aerodome) and players were rewarded with Apex prizes as well as cards from our first Organized Play Store Kit which we now have available for sale here!
Players battled and fought it out but only two players reigned supreme! Justin “Apex” Baumgartner and Alan “Basscor” Beard! Both players are already becoming experts when it comes to flying in the Aerodome, with Justin even rewarding themselves with the callsign “Apex” in honor of the victory. Both players were rewarded with a Golden Apex Fighter Marker as a trophy of their triumph.

I want to thank everyone who came by and chatted. I can’t wait to share more about Aerodome and share the world with you all. I also want to thank those who helped with our booth, primarily Andy “Deathwish” Myers, for all the hard work they did. And thank you to Adepticon! We will definetly be coming back!
Did you attend the event? What did you like the most about Adepticon!
