Pilot Spotlight - Hellsister

Captain Alice Drummond flies for the Renegade Squadron of Futuria. Aboard the United States Aero Force’s ship, the U.S.A.F. Minnesota, Alice takes the helm of her rag tag squadron after her sister was tragically shot down. Alice battles her own inner demons as well as the fighters of the Siga Regime and holds nothing back as she seeks revenge for losing everything she has ever loved.

[Alice Drummond’s name is a tribute to America’s first ace, Eddie Rickenbacker, comic strip about the courageous pilot, Ace Drummond]

Alice’s Ability:

After a successful Attack action:

Assign 1 Burn token to the defender’s Fighter marker.

There are currently three types of Debuff tokens in Aerodome. Alice utilizes one of the elemental debuffs known as Burned. When a pilot is burned, at the end of their Action phase, they roll a die for each Burned token assigned to them. For each roll of a 5 or more, the player suffers one damage and removes all of the burn tokens assigned to their fighter. If no results are above five, the player keeps the tokens assigned to their fighter.

Alice’s signature card is called “Hell’s Bells” (RH1149). A card designed to keep Alice in a good position but also dish out more Burn tokens with each attack roll of a 6. Hell’s Bells is one of the few maneuvers in a pilots arsenal to potentially keep the pilot stationary, a very tricky maneuver, but also offers the ability to perform a 4 Rotate maneuver action.

Other cards that work well with Alice:

Along with Alice’s ability, it will be good to keep her Maneuver hand loaded with other options to dish out the burn tokens in order to maximize the amount of times the debuff is triggered. Alice’s ability is a reliable source for burn which many players will find irritating but cards like Burn Turn (RH1034) and Fire Fall (RH1148) will help increase the amount players will suffer burn damage. Another trick to utilize her ability is with increased attacks, utilizing attacks with multiple rolls will also help pile up the Burn tokens.
